The look for the series has gone through a few iterations… Our original idea centered around an arts and crafts feel, so I created a “scrapbook” environment (which was particularly fun to illustrate!)

When we decided to simplify the look, I introduced the idea of topographic map backgrounds as a way to tie in the geographic element of the series.
